To the Editor:
In reading the exchange from the two residents of Stratford Landing, I would like to add this. As a dog walker in this neighborhood I have noticed that there is not enough sand still lying in the street to justify the effort, especially when you consider that most of that sand is mixed with soil, road residue and decaying leaves. I do note that these two writers just happen to live on the street with the most sand lying around, but even if that amount were to be found on all the streets in our neighborhood, it would not justify the expense of collecting and cleaning the sand for reuse.
